Some exciting news today – the Second Edition of TALL is published today, somewhere in a building in the UK. This has been a big project for me, with about a third of the book being new material, or heavily revised material, and a whole bunch of new illustrations to go with it, of course. Our original illustrators Lauren and Brittany have long since left University and are working as architects out there in the wide world, but I’ve had the pleasure of working with a new illustrator, Noah Godfrey, who leapt into the task with enthusiasm and a great deal of ability. Thanks Noah!
I’ve also had the pleasure of working with an artist, Alice Masters, who performs miracles of modern art with coloured interpretations of art. In this case, Alice has taken the previous cover, with the great photo in Black and White by Andy Spain, and colourised the heck out of it – transforming the look of the book to a great colourful event that you simply cannot ignore. I’m not sure if there will ever be a Third Edition, so this colourful cover will take us forward for the next few years and it should be available in print all over the world from today onwards.
Many thanks to ALL the people who have helped pull this revised 2nd edition together, just in time for the NZ trimester 2, and in time for the northern hemisphere return to school after the mid-year summer break.
